A Christmas Story

Join Ralphie Parker on his quest for that wondrous BB gun as the Mills Masquers present the hilarious classic, "A Christmas Story." The local theater troupe last produced this show in 2001, and concludes their 30th anniversary season of favorites.

The show, based on the television holiday classic, will open at the Barton Theater on Friday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m. Additional show dates are Saturday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 9, at 2 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14 and 15, at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m.

Sam Kalhorn heads the cast as Ralphie Parker. Sam's older brother, Patrick, had the role in the original Masquers version, and also lends his talents to the show.

The Kalhorn boys' father, Jim, reprises his role as Ralph Parker the adult, who narrates the show.

Jon Coover plays The Old Man, while Lindsay Schomaker portrays Mom.

Jacob Umphreys is cast as Randy.

Also in the cast are Aaron Bertini as Schwartz, Cuentin Gray as Flick, Alexandra Baake as Esther Jane, Tessa Baake as Helen, Annika Baake as Miss Shields and Harvey Fritz as Santa. Cast as the Desperadoes are Austin Hiers, Kristina Vang and Adria Skarruls. Also involved in the cast and crew is James Cook. Scott Hite is the show's director.
